You just do what you love, and then a style happens later on.

To me, photography is an art of observation. It has little to do with the things you see and everything to do with the way you see them.
The camera is an instrument that teaches people how to see without a camera.
My photographs don’t go below the surface. They don’t go below anything. They’re readings of the surface. I have great faith in surfaces. A good one is full of clues.
I am sure the next step will be the electronic image, … I trust that the creative eye will continue to function, whatever technological innovations may develop.
Every photograph is a fake from start to finish, a purely impersonal, unmanipulated photograph being practically impossible.
